Brittany Newsome Joins TerraPro Solutions as In-House Title Counsel

Prior to joining TerraPro Solutions, Brittany Newsome served as vice president and state underwriting counsel for Chicago Title Insurance Company.

During her tenure at Chicago Title Insurance, Ms. Newsome focused on title curative and insurance coverage. Her expertise includes overseeing projects from “cradle to grave,” encompassing land acquisition, construction, permanent debt and out-sale. She possesses a keen understanding of curative, drafting and ALTA Title policies.

“Having worked on the title insurance side, I am very familiar with common questions and coverage scenarios,” remarked Ms. Newsome. “I can anticipate potential issues for TerraPro Solutions clients, thus providing them with the cleanest version proforma. This streamlines the work for the client, the lender, tax equity and respective legal counsel. I have closed several projects worth well over $100 million. Ms. Newsome received her B.A. from Virginia Tech, Blacksburg, Virginia and her Juris Doctor from Campbell University, Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law, Raleigh, North Carolina. Prior to joining Chicago Title, Brittany worked in private practice with a high-volume real estate firm in Greensboro, focusing on residential and commercial transactions. She has been a member of the North Carolina State Bar since 2014.
