Prior to joining TerraPro Solutions Katie Reisner provided extensive paralegal and litigation support for many prestigious law firms throughout the San Diego area. She is an accomplished paralegal, with more than twenty years of experience successfully helping clients obtain favorable results in complex litigation, including representation for developers in construction litigation. Katie’s skills include client relations, discovery, extensive document management, pleadings, preparation of experts, fact finding, legal research, and trial preparation in all facets of civil litigation. She obtained an ABA-accredited paralegal certificate from the University of San Diego and was awarded “Paralegal of the Year” by her peers in 2007. Her experience in the legal field provided a strong foundation to transition to her role as a Senior Compliance Manager with TerraPro Solutions. Katie is now able to utilize her legal background and expand her knowledge and expertise in renewable energy arena.

What do you focus on?
I focus on drafting, reviewing, managing, and administering real estate agreements and documents while maintaining a keen eye for accuracy. My legal experience lends to my ability to communicate and negotiate agreements effectively with various parties involved in a project, to arrive at the same goal effectively.

What do you like most about working for TerraPro Solutions?
I really like the company culture and proud to be a part of it. There is a constant feeling of teamwork and support from office peers.

Where do your passions lie in your personal life?
The world is a wonderful and fascinating place, and I want our son (Breckyn) to experience all of its glory. Our family enjoys traveling in general but especially when it involves a tropical location with surf, or beautiful mountains with snow. At seven years old, Breckyn has already seen the Grand Canyon, snowboarded in Big Bear, surfed in Hawaii (twice), and our favorite, been to a remote surfing resort on an island in Fiji called Tavarua (twice). Breckyn embraced the culture and shared with local children possessions that he would have never parted with otherwise. He understood that little things to us such as a book or snacks made a huge difference to a small village. The smile on his face and children he befriended was priceless. I enjoy snowboarding, surfing, hiking….basically anything outdoors and especially involving the ocean. I adore our clumsy Great Dane (Pali) and spunky cat (Elvis)…. oh and everything related to Fantasy Football! No better way to start a Sunday than hearing Scott Hanson say “7 hours of commercial free football starts now!”

What motivates you?
This is an easy one…. My family.

What are your proudest accomplishments?
One of my proudest accomplishments is homeschooling my 7-year-old son and being able to continue growing in both personal and professional aspects of my life. It has been a challenging and remarkable journey.
