Jennifer Guthrie Purczynski

SENIOR DIRECTOR OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

I am the Senior Director of Business Development focused on the development of wind and solar projects. I have extensive real estate and renewables knowledge which lends to my skill in being able to identify and solve fatal flaws that are sure to arise in project development.

Jennifer Guthrie Purczynski has worked in the renewable energy field for over 20 years where she began her career at SeaWest Windpower. She has developed more than 3 Gigawatts of renewable projects spanning across wind, solar, geothermal and battery storage technologies.  In addition to development of renewable projects, Jennifer has experience managing more than 500 megawatts of operating wind assets in California and Wyoming. While working for Enel Green Power North America, she managed the development and permitting of multiple wind, solar and geothermal projects across the U.S.  She also provides counsel on contract management and compliance for third-party wind farm operators and right of way acquisitions and permitting during project development. She holds a Bachelors of Administration degree from the University of California, Los Angeles and an MBA from the University of Redlands.

Where do your passions lie in your personal life?
My faith and my family are are at the top of the list.. God truly blessed me with a beautiful family and with the gift of an amazing daughter…our little “walk off home run” we like to say. We are definitely a GOLF family. It is not uncommon to find our little “three pack” traveling the world with our sticks in tow. I am also passionate about my sports…UCLA Bruins and the Kansas City Chiefs have been in my blood since birth. “How ‘bout them Chiefs?”

What motivates you?
Hard work (spoiler alert, I don’t idle well) and the feeling of accomplishment. I certainly subscribe to the “work hard, play hard” mentality…and we always find a way to play hard! And finally, the belief that people are good and that this crazy life is definitely a team sport.

What are your proudest accomplishments?
I have had some pretty crazy moments in my life that I am certainly proud of. Honoring my grandfather who was a WWII Veteran by playing Taps at his funeral, and watching my daughter compete in golf on the world stage are both high on the list. But I would have to say that my “proudest accomplishment” is knowing that I have been able to be an example to my daughter, that women can excel in both the corporate world and at home. And, that the barriers and balance you set for yourself are yours to own, so never let either hold you back.

What do you focus on at TerraPro?
I focus on getting projects to the finish line. Development of utility-scale renewable projects takes years and I treat all of our projects as if they are my own. I am fortunate to have over 20 years of experience in development and operations and draw upon it to assist our clients in the development of their projects.

What do you like most about working for TerraPro?
The best part about working for TerraPro Solutions is the culture we have created with our team and our clients. Our company culture is highly collaborative, and I can always rely on my teammates to produce their best work. I love being a creative solution provider
for our clients.
