This special three-part series leadership workshop empowers us with skills and tools to overcome personal barriers and think and lead like a CEO. This workshop series provides attendees with the knowledge to define their self-worth and boost confidence when advocating for themselves.

In this workshop series, participants will gain the ability to recognize their personal barriers to success and develop the skills to how to overcome them. By attending the workshop, and implementing its teaching, they can anchor new beliefs for empowerment and become more effective and influential in their professional and personal lives.

Part One: Leadership and Negotiation Introduction

August 27, 2020; 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm PT

This module focuses on internal obstacles that can hold women back on the leadership path. Despite the progress that has been made, women sometimes lack the self-confidence and drive that men do; and can hesitate to take charge and think like a leader. For example, our desire to be liked can override our ability to make wise decisions. Thinking like a CEO begins with developing an internal framework and guiding principles that give us confidence to be decisive and the clarity to remain focused on our goals.

Participants in this workshop will be paired in teams of two and provided action-oriented exercises designed to understand their leadership potential- setting them on an accelerated path towards learning and developing the skills during Part Two of the workshop.

Part Two: Developing the Skills: Think like a CEO

October 1, 2020: 8:00 am – 10:30 am PT

This is a hands-on module with interactive exercises to learn negotiation strategies to confidently excel at the bargaining table; improve working relationships; respectfully resolve disagreements and achieve goals. Participants will test their beliefs and assumptions and learn to manage strengths and weaknesses. Recognize common manipulative tactics used by difficult people and learn how to neutralize them and win the other side over. You will also learn the needed skills to think strategically, make better choices, assess value and demonstrate insightful leadership skills.

Part Three: Skills Assessment and Lessons Learned

November 12, 2020: 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm PT

During this final module, we want to hear from our participants. Do you better understand your strengths and weaknesses? Have you leveraged your newly acquired skills? What did you achieve? What are the most valuable takeaways from the workshop? While you cannot possess every leadership capability, or foresee every shift in the culture or environment, has this workshop helped you more effectively steer your career and professional development? Participants will also learn strategies and develop an action plan on how to keep honing their new skills and continue to develop further as a leader in their personal and professional lives.
